The Weekendlies: Summertime & the Livin's easy....

I feel like being abroad for the 4th of July made me feel like I missed the kick off of summer.
Here in the Bay Area, our summer weather starts and ends later. 4th of July is the start, and it rolls through an Indian Summer. Now that I'm back, summer is in full effect. This weekend felt like a very, very short summer break.

1. Working on THE. MUG. SWAP. (just a few days until registration opens!)
2. Tom's Warehouse Sale. Best life choice ever.
3. The haul. 11 pairs of shoes and 4 pairs of sunglassses. (Not all mine).
4. Sparkleritas in the shade, poolside.
5. A 5 minute summer shower. This never happens.
6. Post rain sunset.
7. There's a new kid running the old neighborhood lemonade stand. Made with local lemons. Mylie approves.
8. Warm summer nights = doors wide open. And reflecting sunsets.
9. Another gorgeous sky party to end the weekend.

Ten on Ten with Ben!

Allo, gov'nor!
Or, hello from England!

Don't worry, I will be headed home very, very soon. Going full speed for 16 days is awesome and exhausting.

For now, a recap of this fabulous 10th day of July. My second international 10 on 10. I am very fortunate!

Today, my sister Laura and I did a "London in a Day" tour. It had the makings of a great tour but our guide left me with quite a headache and some irritated nerves, but was over all a good day!

First up, Westminster Abby. From the outside.

Then we headed to the London Tower to check out the Crown Jewels. I accidentally missed the no photos sign, but thankfully did not get arrested and sent to the torture tower.

Selfies with the beefeater.

Left, right, left, right, left...

A quick cruise down the River Thames

Before catching the changing of the guards.

After lunch we made our way to St Paul's Cathedral (where Charles and Diana were married).

And climbed alllllll the way to the top. Up, up and around the dome. Over 500 steps for this spectacular view!!!

And after a long and exhausting, but really incredible day, we had a Champagne Tea at the Park Plaza Westminster Hotel. With Big Ben hanging out by the window.

And lastly, one more quick visit to the London Eye before calling it a day and heading in for the night, and some much needed sleep.
